Did you know the Federal Vision teaches justification by faith AND works? The Federal Vision is a movement recently sprung up in conservative Reformed and Presbyterian churches. The controversy is this: Is the covenant of grace conditional or unconditional? The 2010 Reformation Day lecture, "Federal Vision, Unconditional Covenant and the Reformation's Gospel of Grace" will address the covenant-root of the federal vision, demonstrate the relation between the doctrine of an unconditional covenant and the Reformation's gospel of grace, and point out the calling of Reformed and Presbyterian believers and their children with regard to the federal vision. Are we ready to defend and maintain the gospel of salvation by grace alone? Prof. David J. Engelsma, retired professor of theology in the Protestant Reformed Seminary in Granville, Michigan, will be the speaker.
