500 Years of Gospel Freedom
Throughout the history of the world, there have been great charters of freedom and declarations of liberty: The Magna Carta and the Declaration of Independence come to mind. Martin Luther’s posting the Ninety-Five Theses on October 31, 1517 was such a declaration of liberty. The simple act of a monk continues to reverberate to this day.
Two Thousand and Seventeen is the five hundredth anniversary of Luther’s posting the Ninety-Five Theses. We praise God for his goodness to the Church in bringing about the rediscovery of the grace of the gospel. It is the privilege of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, at our 2017 Spring Theology Conference, to celebrate this five hundredth anniversary by presenting special lectures on Luther and five sermons on the Solas of the Reformation. We hope you will join us for this celebration.
