I wonder how other church denominations compare--if they have even done a survey or study like this of their members or would even release it to the public.
I have a feeling that it wouldn't be much different. It goes with that saying that you can't please all the people all the time; there will always be people not involved, just pew-sitters, making the church fill up on Easter and Christmas time but otherwise out of it. The other rule of thumb is that only 20 percent of the people in any group do 80 percent of the work. One strategy to keep people in a church was to have 2 services--one traditional and another 'contemporary' but that hasn't pleased everyone. Even the 'contemporary' service doesn't play the latest music on the radio these days--which is what the word 'contemporary' means. If you could examine the reasons for why everyone in a church attended, you might be very surprised.
The Institute for Justice has been working hard on getting these licensing laws changed. Hair weaving is another area that is licensed in many states. In many cases, more is required of these workers than the dental hygienist that cleans your teeth every 6 months.

“ People Need This ” I loved this message. It needs to be said that it is only through God that we come to repentance. That men in their hearts hate God no matter what they say. When I was became born again, I was alone, not at church and I thought I was saved before it happened! God came back for me, it had nothing to do with my own will. Thank you for this sermon!
