Good points.Also... Whatever happened to public means of grace? Whatever happened to prayer? Whatever happened to prayer meetings? Whatever happened to fellowship? Whatever happened to church works of service and mercy? Whatever happened to "provoke one another to love and good works" (Hebrews 10:24-25)? Whatever happened to outreach and evangelism? Whatever happened to "evangelistic services"? Whatever happened to "seek ye first the Kingdom of God"? |

"Turn! Turn! Turn! (to Everything There Is a Season)", often abbreviated to "Turn! Turn! Turn!", is a song written by Pete Seeger in the late 1950s. The lyrics, except for the title which is repeated throughout the song, and the final verse of the song, are adapted word-for-word from Chapter 3 of the Book of Ecclesiastes, set to music and recorded in 1962. The song was originally released as "To Everything There Is a Season" on The Limeliters' album Folk Matinee and then some months later on Seeger's own The Bitter and the Sweet. i The song became an international hit in late 1965 when it was covered by the American folk rock band The Byrds, bowing at #80 on October 23, 1965, before reaching #1 on the Hot 100 chart on December 4, 1965, and also peaking at #26 on the UK Singles Chart. After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands. -Revelation 7:9The kingdom of God is growing. Earthly kingdoms can resist it but not ultimately defeat it. |

Lydia of Thyatira sold purple cloth and helped to establish the church at Philippi. Priscilla and her husband, Acquila, traveled and helped Paul in multiple cities. The Proverbs 31 women planted a vineyard and bought real estate. I do believe in gender differences and that women have a special responsibility to care for the home. (Titus 2:5). Caring for the home can include grocery shopping :-) and may require some activity outside the four walls. Nursing the sick outside the home can be an honorable profession. Sunshine helps to activate Vitamin D and can promote health. :-} There is a needless travel for women that can lead to trouble (Genesis 34:1 ff).
