1John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Love then as defined here by the Lord is, that God loved us and sent HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins. For whom did Christ die? For HIS OWN, HIS sheep, the elect. Thus GOD does not love the rest. John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth HIS OWN sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4. And when he putteth forth HIS OWN sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are NOT of MY SHEEP, as I said unto you. 27 MY SHEEP hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: The answer to the survey question is, no! |

DisplacedMaritimer (Bert) wrote: To everyone asking about praying to Saints, Do you believe that intercessory prayer offered by one person for another is Biblical? You have illustrated the difference yourself Bert. = "Praying *TO* dead people. = "Prayer offered *BY* one live person. So it is hardly an analogy to validate the point. We pray *TO* God through the *ONLY* Mediator Jesus Christ, by the help of the Holy Spirit. 1Tim 2:5 "For there is one God, and *ONE* mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" Rom 8:26 "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered" So there is no need to use dead people and usurp the Trinity. |
