Students of Aberystwyth reject the Word of God. Well since we live in an apostate country with an apostate national church why should the kids not be just as blind and ignorant of the truth as their parents are?
If any of these kids are elect of God then this Liberal action will be of no consequence to them.

1Cor 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."

"The Queen, who is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, has also wished them well with today’s launch in London of a new alliance of evangelical and Anglo-Catholic parishes in Britain and Ireland."

Well done your Majesty.

However It would not surprise me to hear later this week of an 'official climbdown'

God is still recorded as saying....
"13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Lev 20.

NO climbdown there EVER!!

The UK is clearly being run by Sodomites and their liberal supporters. Just as clearly the Bible and Christianity is being pushed further and further to the margins of society. What are we to do?
Secular society together with the disease of Liberalism is aimed precisely at destroying the REAL church in the UK today. Satan is in control of the mind, heart, politics and bureaucracy of the nation. God has chosen to allow this state of affairs to become prevalent in western society and nations today. As Paul states in Romans; "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie"(V24/25).
Hence we are there, in the scheme of things and our trial of faith emerges in the struggle. The national churches CofE/CofS are of no use, since they are spreading the satanic gospel of Liberalism anyway. We are left as always in HIS mercy and must "watch and pray" to overcome only by faith in Christ Crucified.

"BLESSED ARE YE, when men shall REVILE you, and PERSECUTE you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, FOR MY SAKE.
12 REJOICE, and be exceeding GLAD: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Mike wrote:
We need also understand that the seed must be planted in order that the heart can have this new life in it, for it is the Word that is sowed, and not the prepared soil, that is the source of new life.
"Now, if you want to insist upon the fact that regeneration always follows upon hearing the word and believing it and accepting it — how can an infant be saved? The infant cannot receive truth, it does not have the ability; it does not have understanding, it has not awakened to these things. So is there no hope for any infant? We do not believe that, we obviously reject such a suggestion. And the answer is, of course, that a child is regenerated in exactly the same way as anybody else, because it is the action of this almighty being, of God Himself through the Holy Spirit. He can implant the seed of spiritual life in an unconscious infant with the same ease as He can do it in an adult person. Therefore you see why it is important for us to consider whether regeneration is something that happens indirectly through the word or whether it is indeed the direct operation of God upon us. And I am teaching again, that it is immediate, direct, it is God creating anew as He created the world out of nothing at the beginning" (D.M.Lloyd-Jones)

Atonement?

"Now, people continually mix two ideas when they say atonement: One is, that of the expiation for guilt provided in Christ's sacrifice. The other is, the individual reconciliation of a believer with his God, grounded on that sacrifice made by Christ once for all, but actually effectuated only when the sinner believes and by faith. The last is the true meaning of atonement, and in that sense every, atonement (at-one-ment), reconciliation, must be individual, particular, and limited to this sinner who now believes. There have already been just as many atonements as there are true believers in heaven and earth, each one individual." (R.L.Dabney)

""The ads are designed to show lonely atheists that they do not walk alone — and they can go on disbelieving.""

The rediculous thing about the atheist arguement is that they assume that faith is simply a human intellectual assent to a belief. In other words they demonstrate that they just don't know! The only people whom they have an arguement with in the churches are the Liberals, who just don't know either!
So the adverts are a waste of money, time and effort anyway.
The true believer is chosen, converted and convinced by God who doesn't react to the atheist except to convert him/her if HE decides to.

GOD Said
Psalm 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

"the Rev. Janet Edwards, co-moderator of More Light Presbyterians, which supports changing the ordination standards."

First comes conversion to Liberal theology/religion. Which comprises the rejection of Scripture as the Word of God.

Second comes women in the pulpit. As we note above!

Third comes the acceptance of the abomination.

Fourth comes the corruption and pervertion of the pulpit itself.

Satan + plus + Eve = equals = corrupt Adam.

""In particular, she claimed that some students were being told that homosexuality is a sin and to believe the Biblical account of creation.
"We want to point out how silly some of these beliefs are and hope that these groups will help to do that," she said.""

Yes the Bible will be silly to the people destined for hell!

But if only the silly atheists had asked the Bible in the first place then they would have found out that .....

1Cor 1:18 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

The fact that sin and Satan blinds these sad people is brought home so clearly in life when they try to struggle with the truth.

The next verse states
19 "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."

May God convert them in His mercy!

"They are even being told that they would be able to smoke a cannabis joint, on top of ecstasy, with no ill-effects."

I suppose in a nation that legislates and teaches children at school that homosexual lust is "normal" for some, we cannot expect much more of a moral approach to drugs.
Western nations appear to be doing the same thing as the Roman Empire was said to do, descend into debauchery.

"The classic study of Roman civilization, The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, written by English historian Edward Gibbon was published in that famous year of 1776. He "observed that the leaders of the empire gave into the vices of strangers, morals collapsed, laws became oppressive, and the abuse of power made the nation vulnerable to the barbarian hordes."

British historian Catherine Edwards demonstrated that our current examples of immorality are not a modern phenomenon. In her study of the "politics of immorality" in ancient Rome, she says that contraception, abortion, and exposure were common ways to prevent childbirth in Rome. Husbands refused to recognize any child they did not believe to be their own. "Until accepted by its father, a Roman baby did not, legally speaking, exist.""
(The Politics of Immorality in Ancient Rome)

"According to HSLDA attorney Donnelly, a victory in the Romeikes’ groundbreaking case will provide a path to safety for German homeschool families escaping persecution."

Germany is the only european country with an outright ban on homeschooling but this does seem to open up a can of worms on asylum and immigration!
Whilst we would all sympathise with the families in Germany who do not have the freedom to homeschool their children, it does seem to establish an unusual precident, to encourage families from one sovereign country to another on the basis of this type of philosophy.
It may also depend on the judge in this case whether it goes their way or not. He may well be an atheist who will not accede to their request.

"So I'm looking around for somebody to pray with, I just need maybe a little help, maybe a little extra," she said."

God only listens to groups now does He???

Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, THAT THEY MAY BE SEEN OF MEN. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Lashkar-e-Taiba (Urdu: لشکرطیبہ laškar-ĕ ṯayyiba; literally Army of the Good, translated as Army of the Righteous, or Army of the Pure)

Maybe Obama is too late with this strategy

"Death of Death in the Death of Christ"
By John Owen.

"It is from degenerate faith and preaching of this kind that Owen's book could set us free. If we listen to him, he will teach us both how to believe the Scripture gospel and how to preach it. For the first: he will lead us to bow down before a sovereign Saviour Who really saves, and to praise Him for a redeeming death which made it certain that all for whom He died will come to glory. It cannot be over–emphasized that we have not seen the full meaning of the Cross till we have seen it as the divines of Dort display it-as the center of the gospel, flanked on the one hand by total inability and unconditional election, and on the other by irresistible grace and final preservation. For the full meaning of the Cross only appears when the atonement is defined in terms of these four truths. Christ died to save a certain company of helpless sinners upon whom God had set His free saving love. Christ's death ensured the calling and keeping––the present and final salvation––of all whose sins He bore. That is what Calvary meant, and means. The Cross saved; the Cross saves. This is the heart of true Evangelical faith" (J.I.Packer)

"The stark warning will cause serious concerns, since it was this combination of falling prices and soaring debt burdens that plagued the US in the 1930s."

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matt 6.24

Curious thing is that the god of mammon must rely on the providence of GOD to work.

John Yurich USA wrote:
Why do you keep stating that I adhere to the Doctrine Of Apostates when I keep stating that I have totally repudiated and rejected all the unscriptural RCC doctrines? Is it because you lack comprehension and logical and analytical thinking abilities? It must be because if I have totally repudiated and rejected all the unscriptural RCC doctrines then the only logical inference is that I am not adhering to the Doctrines Of Apostates.
2John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Plain teaching and succinct in message JY. DON'T be a partaker of evil deeds!
