"She is known to have socially liberal views, and ministers have previously said her strong influence on the Prime Minister “will have a more liberalising impact on Cameron than Nick Clegg"

Liberalism the depraved iniquitous poison in both church and state is polluting the mind philosophy and zeitgeist of western nations.

It would appear that both Westminster and Mrs Cameron are suffereing from this evil disease.

She and her husband like many politicians and bureaucrats today in the nations are sending people to hell by dismissing the laws and Word of God. They serve Satan!!

Mike of New York

"And since Christ restored that which He took not away (Ps. 69:4), then its resurrected state shows us its primitive glory (Phil. 3:21).
Following the statement "the eyes of them both were opened," we would naturally expect the next clause to read "and they saw that they were naked"; but instead it says, "they knew that they were naked"—something more than a discovery of their woeful physical plight. The Hebrew verb is rendered "know" in the vast majority of references, yet eighteen times it is translated "perceive" and three times "feel." As the opening of their eyes refers to the eyes of their understanding, so we are informed of what they now discerned, namely the loss of their innocence. There is nakedness of soul which is far worse than an unclothed body, for it unfits it for the presence of the holy One. The nakedness of Adam and Eve was the loss of the image of God, the inherent righteousness and holiness in which He created them. Such is the awful condition in which all of their descendants are born. That is why Christ bids them buy of Him "white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear" Rev 3:18. The "white raiment" is "the robe of righteousness" Isa 61:10, the "wedding garment" of Matt 22:11" (A Pink)

You said
"The fact that Christ came to the Earth in the likeness of sinful flesh says nothing whatsoever about the appearance of the flesh of Adam and Eve before the fall."

No???

Then your presumed alternative is that their was no difference?

After all Adam and Eve didn't need saving till POST sin.

Now when they ate the forbidden fruit what happened?

Physical change?
No.

Gen 3:7 "And the eyes of them both were opened, and they *KNEW* that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."

Notice that when their eyes were opened - "they *KNEW* that they were naked."

Notice how Paul deals with the flesh
Rom 7:18 "For I know that in me (THAT IS, IN MY FLESH) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not."

This is the likeness God refers to at Rom 8:3 "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD sending his own Son **IN THE LIKENESS** of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh"

Thus do we observe the different states of Adam/Eve before and after their disobedience.

Phil 3:21 "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body"

I knew this would catch someone Mike.
Haldane's commentary is based on....
Romans 8:3 "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD sending his own *SON IN THE LIKENESS OF SINFUL FLESH,* and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh"

Homework tonight is study the Scripture on Atonement details.

"If the flesh of Jesus Christ was the likeness of sinful flesh, there must be a difference between the appearance of sinful flesh and our nature or flesh in its original condition when Adam was created. Christ, then, was not made in the likeness of the flesh of man before sin entered the world, but in the likeness of his fallen flesh"
(R. Haldane)

Obvious Truth (So called)
Nothing here or in Gospel about being dead first or loosing salvation once received by grace and the Holy Spirit.
Sorry you don't appear to receive the Truth.

Jo 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Jo 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

Jo 3:8 "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."

Jo 3:34 "For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him."

Jo 4:23 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."

Jo 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

AND
Jo 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:"(And Jo 16:13)

John Yurich
Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians *FIRST* in Antioch.

What do you think they were called prior to this event?

"Christian" is simply the Greek for Christ Follower.

The moral decline continues as does the spiritual decline correspondingly, in the same direction.
The church witness and teaching disappears and depravity grows. It's fascinating that the majority of people can't see the wood for the trees.
In a sense it is a powerful sign to the Christian that where God does not bless - the works of Satan increase.
Which is a relevant point about the church size and lack of sound doctrine today.

Or how about this question on sin

Does the soul sent to hell contain sin.?
Clearly it no longer has flesh.

But is sin in the soul or only in the flesh.?
Therefore are "sinless" souls sent to hell.???

Yes JD
The correct method as taught by Chrst is
Born again First.
Then comes Faith the Gift of God.

Never do we read in Scripture your method of human effort first with God being allowed to follow-up later if He is allowed by the sinner.

Asks
"why can't a sovereign God do his effectual calling through his own elect?"

The trait and characteristic of the arminian theology.
God is not allowed to do things Himself in their religion. He must rely upon man and man's permission prior to any salvific effect.

8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
9 THOU SHALT NOT BOW DOWN THYSELF UNTO THEM, nor SERVE them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

Luke 24:47 "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

Two things to preach
1] Repentance.
2] Remission of sins.

Witness of these two, both to church and community, is about acceptance of their reality in the human condition and the necessity of doing something about it.

The Haggard experience along with other false churches, eg: Episcopelian and Gene Robinson, who instead of being sacked was promoted, - IS a specific witness.

Those outside the church do not identify us as perfect, - because they don't know what the Biblical idea of "perfect" really means.

The True Christian in society will make decisions about what IS church and what is NOT church, - by observing these Liberals in action, as in this news item.

The "benefit" then in this very public event, will be to the Remnant and the choices/decisions they make.
