Nice set of real God-colored eggs at link above :and kiddies playing. As for verse : Genesis 1:20. God created the fowl of the air. So Unless one has never seen a pretty blue robin's egg (and the dozens of fantastic colors at link above.
And also suppose that one is not a foolish evolutionist who thinks dinosaurs created the birds.
And finally if one has read Luke 11:12,13 where The Lord Jesus declares that an egg is a "good gift ", I can't see much problem with copying the Creator by coloring an egg for the kiddies. Romans 1:20 -creation shows nature of artistry. I would add salt to the egg when eaten as advised by Job.  Adults should should use this season to pray for afflicted brethren such as Pastor Abadini & Kent Hovind.
