O Lord, we lift to You our Brother John, who has continued to suffer physically for some time now. We are grateful he is reviewing medical care that provides some relief, but we cry out for a cure and for healing. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Amen, Brother Frank. Brother Tim nailed this as well.
Unity means submission to their worldview, which is increasingly based on the many strands of Critical Theory and Intersectionality, both of which I've been reading about. Both require an active submission to their "religion" of self-worship thru conscience acts against whatever they say is wrong.
It's one thing to agree to disagree, and within certain boundaries, I'm OK with that - like many of us do here on SA.
And they will demand unity thru cancelling or crushing their opposition. Our child likened it to Islam.
There is a place for sitting down, sitting still & being quiet. But that doesn't allow boys to be boys in that they tend to be more movement oriented and need engagement in a different way. Trail Life USA is a Boy Scout alternative ministry that focuses on the specific needs of boys in a world which is hostile to them. www.traillifeusa.com has several resources that further flesh out the problem noted in the article and offers a solution.
But I do beg to differ with the concept of the church as a "program provider" that "serves" boys, girls, men, or women as if they are clients. Ministries minister to those who need it with the primary function to build disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, not satisfied clients.
Jim, the rest of us don't look to Critical Race Theory for our definition of racism either.
These CR theories are lies based on lies. They have no truth in them. And feeding lies to our children simply isn't right. https://www.theaquilareport.com/one-lie-that-can-destroy-the-usa/
Once again, Brother Wayfarer, I have to say that you are right. You all in Southern States get to see this more closely than those of us a bit further north as we've already been overrun. Secularism and Progressives are fighting hard for the heart and soul of the South.
Praying for you & your wife as y'all stand against the agenda as you can. Also remembering your son "in a far country."
Try homeschooling. When parents delegate their responsibility to raise their children on the nurture and admonition of the Lord to others, they accept some potential for compromise. And in this case, that potential is being fully realized.
Amen, Brother Tim. Hope you enjoyed Veterans Day. We took up an offer for a free meal and then some shopping discounts.
Interesting that folks really believed that WW I was "the war to end all wars." That kind of secular enlightment thinking has long proven false. There is no hope in Adam or his sons except that One.
O Lord, Your people in Africa have suffered much for Your name. We beg You for their protection from such predictors. May their witness shine brightly and be a tool to draw more to Yourself, including these ISIS fellows. In Jesus name. Amen.
Heard recently that Dr. Livingston who was one of the first evangelists in Africa went to the continent with a rifle. It was to scare off the lions and the Muslims. Both prey on people. Lions just eat them. The Muslims were selling Black Africans into slavery.
I think there is a severe conflict of interest in having a policy doctor who doesn't think anyone should live past 75 on a task force overseeing the fight against a virus that typically kills the elderly. Suddenly, one can start to see Cuomo's thinking about COVID patients in nursing homes.
I appreciate this article's correction. I had thought this doctor's brother Rahm had said that no one should live past 72. It was actually Ezekiel and he said 75. I don't trust either of them.
You have a point, Brother Watcher. While I don't see the Founding Fathers as socialist, they certainly were concerned about mob rule thru pure democracy. Democratic ideals slowly gained traction over time.
They certainly have a point, as seen by our current situation in the US. The Democrats are trying their hardest to move this nation into socialism, and nothing is too wrong to not employ.
Dr. Fauci does not make the decisions regarding whether or not vaccinations are mandatory. He is an advisor to decision makers. Governors are more likely to impose these kinds of requirements thru their health departments.
Our Brother Watcher's theories notwithstanding (and they have some merit), I agree with our Brother Frank. Yes, the Lord establishes kings and knocks them down at His pleasure in accordance with His will, which we are further instructed is for our good. But He did not tell Samuel to annoint a President but instead is working thru our broken & tainted political system. It is up to us to work, and He through that work, brings the result. These lawsuits and investigations are a part of that process and work. When the Lord reveals whom will be the next President, it will be thru this process.
