"Does this "hate crime" also extend to other non-Christian religions? Terv davey"
This legislation is more government establishment of secular humanism upon the masses. You can bet its enforcement will not be equal. Socialist schemes never are. Like Animal Farm, some animals are more equal than others!
Jesus warned of this, so this is just more reinforcement as to the truth of his words.
Does it suprise anyone that this "bishop" balks at the Church when he does the same with Gods Word? He is not interested in what Jesus wants, only what HE wants.
"Around that time, animal sacrifice, as a mode of religious worship, stopped for Jews, Christians and Muslims," said the rabbi from the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem,"
I was not aware that Christians and Muslims ever did, Mr. Rabbi. I am also quite sure the Muslims will be tickled to death with the idea of rebuilding the temple.
Is it not enough that this man must endure the wrath of Secular Humanist? Must he also endure the wrath of his fellow believers over trivial points of doctrine? It is enough for me that he is obeying the command of Christ, to preach his Gospel to all creatures.
Just a little food for thought on John 6. The Word made flesh has told us if we do not eat his flesh and drink his blood we have no life in us. Peter unlocks this parable for us in verse 68. "You have the "words" of eternal life." It is quite clear that Christ was speaking here of reading his "Word" and ingesting it in your heart.
From reading the article, I do not get the impression that evolution has been taken out of science class. Seems the debate is given the same bias, evolution=science, ID=religion.
This is the big lie. Evolution=religion of secular humanism ID=Someone bigger than us has monkeyed with the matter.
At lest this approach doesn't clash with the state established religion, here in the US, ID clashes with the state established religion. (See SCOTUS lemon test for details)
Here this modern mythology is treated as though it is scientific fact, thus the state forcing their religion down the throat of our children.
"As we frame our thinking for the 21st century," she said, "frame the question of 'God's Unfinished Future' in ecological terms [and ask] how can we as Christians find a biblical vision of hope for the future that address ecological economics; that addresses the future of this earth; our home; and is God's home and will not be left behind."
In other words, we must "look for" her interpretation instead of taking the Word for what it says.
I wonder what Christ meant by "my kingdom is not of this world" or Paul by 1Thess 4-16/17?
I wouldn't say evangelicals believe in "president Bush", or any other republican for that matter. They mostly give lip service to our concerns, and only then for several weeks before vote time.
It's just that democrats have made themselves the anti-Jesus party seeking to legislate us into our homes and churches. They seek to undo what we teach our children, and label us as seeking theocracy. When in truth, secular humanism has been established the official religion of this country, not by the people mind you. But by liberal judge-kings who are into liberal social experiments. We have as much right to petition our government for our grievances as anyone else.
Not surprising coming from the Peoples Republic of Kalaforina. Next I suppose the state will start taking these children after potty training (or maybe before) and putting them in education camps like the National Socialist of Germany! Can't have their Christian minority parents damaging their little minds!
Salt, is the CIA, NSA, and other "intelligence" organizations not the ones who warned about the WMDs in Iraq?
Are you saying they were lier's then but should be trusted now?
I'm no big fan of Bush, but your hysteria over his foreign policies read like the propaganda on daily kos, or some other commie front group.
I prefer to take the president of Irans threats with more than a grain of salt. Pardon me if I happen to trust Fox more than the network of Dan Rather.
Nevertheless, the milestone was sweet for Democrat Saqib Ali of Gaithersburg, who was targeted by an anti-Muslim protester during his campaign. In August, a protester stood outside his house with an “Islam sucks” poster and a T-shirt that said, “This mind is an Allah-free zone.”
Off with his head! I mean, Christians, especially right-wingers, are the only ones who should receive such treatment!
