Well Kev, if a person sins willfully and is NOT convicted, it is safe to say that the person is not a believer. A little about myself. I was a very lustful person before I was saved, probably at the point where the "experts" would call it an addiction. I've been a believer for almost 18 years now, and still struggle from time to time. But I tell you this; if I DO stumble I am extremely convicted. There is no fun in sin, and if our SA friends aren't convicted in the same way..then I would question a persons salvation. I would almost use that as a marker,of,true Christianity, because fruit can be tough to really see unless we are with them all the time. On the other hand I don't get how a,person who has ANY part in his or her salvation, can even begin to believe in the security of the believer..but again I think that in some cases people 'come to themselves' and become amazed by grace, and a change in theology follows. |
