The teaching of forbidding to marry is false doctrine and has long been taught by The Roman Catholic Church for hundreds of years. The RCC has not taken heed that forbidding to marry leads to sexual immorality."Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth." 1 Timothy 4:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV) "But, because of fornications, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband." 1 Corinthians 7:2 American Standard Version (ASV) |

"...I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person..."]] 1 Corinthians 5 New King James Version (NKJV) |

John Yurich stated: "The best thing for that girl would be to convert to Christianity." Then, ever since he has posted, the thread has been inundated with posts admonishing John to leave the Roman Catholic Church. I don't know why John is attending the Roman Catholic Church, but can we just get passed this and share the Scriptures and the love of God with one another! "Now John answered Him, saying, 'Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.' But Jesus said, 'Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is on our side. For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward." Thank you for sharing and reminding us of The Love of Christ and many blessings to you Hugh!'Augustine,' Paul says: "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" All through Romans chapter 6, we see that it is not right for the believer to continue in sin. If our sister In the Lord HAS Fällen, or strayed from the Way, then let us pray for her .... Surely this is a better way, than judging, and criticizing her.. Just a thought. He who is without sin , and all that. Yours In Christ. Hugh I agree Hugh, may God bless, and peace be with you along with all hope!Recently, I took time away from the SermonAudio forums because I was finding that all the "guess who's sinning what kind of sin" topics were dragging me away from a Biblical mindset, and I was getting very depressed. Zeroing in on the sins everyone else is doing isn't healthy. I agree, news of persons' immoral lifestyles should be a call to prayer... Thank you Frank, Jim, and, Michael; What really concerns me about the Roman Catholics now being referred to as Christian, is that those who are ready to attack the Christian faith are given more ammunition with the fallacy of equivocation ("the misleading use of a term with more than one meaning or sense"). Atrocities that were once attributed to, The Catholic faith, are now (even in historical documentaries), blanketed over the Christian faith in terms of responsibility. When in truth, persons who had been following Jesus' teaching during these alluded to points in history, would have been tortured, executed, and/or exiled as heretics. If people represent themselves as police officers unlawfully, they are charged for impersonating a police officer. Moreover, in every occupation people expect to see the attributes of the said occupation in the person professing that line of work before they hire them. Yet, if individuals, or groups say they are Christians, people accept without merit. I have experienced this in general, and I have experienced this personally with a professor who went against me vehemently to argue that the Nazi's were Christians. “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit." — Luke 6:44 (NKJV) |

"But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust. Glory to God for His GraceAnd I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus." ~ 1 Timothy 1:8-14 New King James Version (NKJV) May God be with our brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering great trials, giving them a clear vision, and comfort of the glory that awaits them! May they be as the martyr Stephen, and, Christ Himself Who asked The Father that their persecutor’s sin not be held against them... O help us, Abba Father! |

"...in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them...""Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy." ~ Exodus 20:9-11 English Standard Version (ESV) |
