All who read these things pray and pray fervently. What is worse is if the rest of the world does nothing to stop these savages and Christians do not pray. But for God's grace we have not hated to the point of such savagery. May The Spirit move and save them. Remember, God sent Jonah to Ninevah and they repented. They were savages too.
Amen, and the Apostle Paul, when he was known as Saul, was involved in the systematic killing of Christians ~ may the "Road to Damascus" run through Iraq!

May God give us the wisdom how to pray for our brothers and sisters in Iraq!! May we think of them, as we too are suffering with them!

I don't know why, but I picture a Mr. Bean skit of him going to the diner and him keep trying to get noticed praying ~ while everyone else around him is getting discounts! I like the skit of Mr. Bean going to church and only knowing the chorus of the hymn.

On a serious note: Jesus had asked people not to tell anyone about some of His healings, and people went ahead and noised about their healings. This made Jesus a target of jealous authorities.

How much pain it would have saved the business owner if the receipt hadn't been shared on the internet?!

"...the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them..."

"And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, 'Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?' But He turned and rebuked them, and said, 'You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.' And they went to another village."

Around 25 years ago I was working at McDonald's, and as I was taking out an item to a table — I passed by a family who was praying over their meal. It was a witness to me, because I had only experienced prayers over food at Christmas dinner at my aunt's house. I actually thought it was absurd to give thanks for McDonald's food, because I had only experienced giving thanks for more grand meals on special occasions — the ripple effect was being a witness to me — especially since they unintentionally exhibited great humility.

"Regretfully having to obey authority, several members of the National Guard expressed to Fox News that they were 'ashamed and embarrassed' over the whole situation.

'It makes me wonder what I'm actually fighting for … I honestly never thought I'd see the day that this would happen in my hometown,' one of the National Guard members shared with Fox News."

— quote from the article "U.S. military can't do churches ... but 'gay' parades OK?," by Michael F. Haverluck

I'm a Canadian, but in my estimation these governmental policies are in contrast to the line in the US National Anthem: "The land of the free." On-the-other-hand, it took so long for freedoms to be granted to African Americans which necessitated in the Civil Rights Movement.

There is a silent wall closing in around the those who believe on Christ Jesus... May we be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves — God bless, eternal hope, and peace to you all!

My sisters and brothers, please donate to Christian pregnancy crisis centres and to food banks — the 1st century Christians rescued many abandoned babies left to die by exposure, and now almost 2000 years later they still have a strong testimony — let's be a people who loves people!

More than ten years ago I found a web site which was for a company which distributed/sold body parts from aborted babies to research companies. I saw an ordering list for arms and legs and other parts — abortion is a large industry and makes money for corporations and individuals.

May God in His wisdom lead abortion providers (and those who attain monetary gain through the abortion industry) to repent and know God's love and be forgiven of their sins...

'“Behold, I strike my hand at the dishonest gain that you have made, and at the blood that has been in your midst. Can your courage endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it."

"...you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations..." — quote from Matthew 24 NIV

Moses was trained in the knowledge and wisdom of the Egyptians — though the world still marvels at the wonders of ancient Egypt, Moses and the Children of Israel were delivered from the bondage of Egypt through God's Power and Might!

]]Acts 7:22

Many falsely believe that there is no knowledge with God, thus they believe there is no true knowledge with God's people:

"And they say, How doth God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?" ~ Psalm 73:11 ASV

Those who claim that true knowledge is apart from God pride themselves in false knowledge:

"Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And call not upon God?" ~ Psalm 53:4 ASV

"guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called 'knowledge.'" — the apostle Paul

Think not of the doctrines of men, embrace Christ Jesus and The Holy Scriptures — then if a man's doctrine matches your doctrine, it will be because their doctrine is in line with The Scriptures, and is according to God's will through The Lord Christ Jesus.

Oh boy. Before anyone condems me for saying how horrific this is and I should be glad they suffered for Christ, etc, like as what's happened in the past, I'd like to take note of the pain, suffering, and emotional anguish that these people endured. Just imagine being scorned and beaten. Just imagine being told you are going to be crucified alive and the emotional exhaustion as the day approaches and finally arrives. Imagine the human fear as the cell door opens and you're led to the slaughter. You see the cross of wood laying on the ground and you scream in horror as they force you down onto it and secure your hands and legs. Then, fully conscious, hammers begin pounding nails through your flesh as.you scream from pain you never thought possible. The nails are in but the screaming intensifies as the cross is raised and the nails stretch the flesh and bones.
Yikes. I always think about what Christ must have endured but I can't really grasp it. These people went to their deaths in triumph; refusing to renounce Christ and I wonder how many would remain that strong in todays church.
Amen & amen

It's not a matter of elevating one sin above another or accepting one while denouncing another. The fact is that the homosexual movement is the sledgehammer that secularists are using to strip religious freedom. The church is obligated to stand and defend the truth of God's Word.
Outspoken high-profile persons and Churches have been known to focus on homosexuality above other sins and unfortunately many associate the every day believer with such aggressive tactics as the Westboro Baptist Church — which has been a blight upon the testimony of Jesus Christ, Who showed love to sinners, dying for sinners.

At the time the New Testament was written, same sex interactions were prevalent. Yet the New Testament is not filled with railings against homosexuality — but against all manner of sexual immorality and sin in lists. And, believers are acknowledged as being cleansed of these same sins. " Let all that you do be done in love." Amen.
