"It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you"1 Corinthians 5:1-5 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. |

The Fat Guy wrote: Christians using chemical birth control pills kill more humans than any other disease.......................When will Christ's Church understand this fact? God said that murders will not get into the Kingdom of God If a woman is too critically ill or disabled, or is on medications for cancer, that will cause a simultaneous abortion: Do you suggest she disobey another scripture and defraud her husband? |

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. 1 Peter 3:7This young man is blessed, to respect the the young lady as the weaker vessel. We women are not only the weaker vessel physically, but we are most often the weaker vessel emotionally. A man should have healthy boundaries with his wife, but not yell at her, shame her, or belittle her. We may be weaker emotionally and spiritually at various times of the month. And, need a firm tender hand to comfort and bless us. Otherwise we are listless, and humbled to the point where we only submit to our husbands out of obedience to God: And not having loving adoration in addition to this. We want to look up to and adore our husbands, but when they over punish us for transgressions: We become discouraged and saddened. We also see our husband's prayers waiting in the wings, because his harshness has pushed them back. |

quest for meekness wrote: Quite true, God will. Good Wills are one of the only places I have been able to find modest clothing, reasonably priced but they are becoming more like Target since they obtain their overflow and irregulars. I had one good solid jumper for years that was both modest and practical so I wanted to replace it. I contacted the retailer and they suggested I look to a Good Will for older models, saying they did not have, nor could they obtain the pattern I requested. I had already looked for some time in Good Wills. On-line home businesses are beyond my budget. God worked it out. I found a woman in a neighboring state who did sewing and she took the jumper apart and made a pattern. She has offered to help me refresh my sewing skills for assisting her and has been very generous in discounting material costs. Excellent testimony sister! |

If a woman does wear pants: wearing longer shirts, or like some women, wear a decorative shorter wrap around skirt over the pants. ]]Just Long Shirts 1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; Matthew 6:27-29 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. In my time I have seen women with long skirts mince around like harlots, and I have seen women in pants who show modesty by their chaste behaviour. Of course modesty coupled with chaste behaviour and virtue, along with all godliness is the ideal. Not all women can afford new clothing, so be clothed with righteous in Christ and God will do the rest! Your godly countenance, will speak volumes to those who behold your visage. |

Women do have a responsibility to dress modestly. However, I do believe that every person: man or woman, has a responsibility if they are having a problem with lust, to be heavily involved in prayer. I have been in Churches where the women are all dressed very modestly: And yet the men in the congregation, have fashionable hair cuts, smooth shaves, fashionable suites and look pretty "GQ". All things that women who are worldly, may see as attractive. What many men consider godly for themselves to wear, looks nothing like what Jesus would have worn. Think of women wearing burkas, men got so carried away, that women's faces were not permitted to be seen. We all need to pray that we not be led into temptation. This, so that we will not be made to stumble, no matter what anyone is wearing. "the LORD seeth not as man seeth ; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." Matthew 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Remember friends, it's not enough to appear righteous. God bless! May God bless the little girl, and may she ever have the bravery and modesty that God has bestowed upon her. |

Those who do not believe Genesis 1, yet claim Christ: Are not living by every word, that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. The words that Lot spoke to his sons in law, didn't seem true to them. Therefore they died, in the destruction of the city. Genesis 19:14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. Genesis 1, is Truth. |

Ephesians 5:2-9 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truthMy husband and I had a baby and lived together before marriage: But then I learned about our sin on Christian radio, we have now been married over 20 years. |

Galatians 5:14-16 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.Ephesians 4:31, 32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. 1 John 3:14-16 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. |
