Food for thought Redirecting our thoughts when they’re becoming dark by focusing on Christ and pure thoughts is the pattern for renewing our minds and successful Christian growth.
May we learn to do this quickly and ongoing throughout our lives.
Have you lost your joy? Have you become grumbly hateful or are you humbly grateful? No matter our circumstances we need to be thankful IN all things and when we are we will never lose our joy. Thankfulness leads to joyfulness. Thank you , pastor JD, for your faithfulness in teaching the truth of the gospel for the glory of God.
Great Sermon! There’s no way anyone would be able to overcome in their own power. Thank God for his provision through Jesus Christ! What a comfort it is knowing that no matter what life throws at us, God has us through it all. In this life as well as the next. Hallelujah ! To God be the glory!
Important Reminder It is so easy to get lost in our day to day life and forget to do the most fundamentally important thing in our walk with Christ. Confession, reverence for God & that I fall short and need him desperately. Repentance, asking forgiveness and getting back on the path depended on his righteousness. Faith, knowing that he is with me all the way. All walk hand in hand and are not meant to stand alone. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the reminder that these are necessary daily.
Great Sermon! Stop grieving the Holy Spirit and my own soul by renewing my mind to enjoy God and bring glory to God and joy to my soul..... Yes, please!!!
Great Sermon! I am so thankful for the truth of God’s word and a faithful pastor who continually brings it to his people. Thank God, my ultimate hope, who is unshakable regardless of what I face in this life. His has, is and will continue to deliver me. Hallelujah!!!!
Another Great Sermon! A great reminder that Christ has paid the ultimate price for His followers to live victorious in this life by living for Him and sharing What He’s done with others regardless of our circumstances. Because of Christ our labor is never in vain! Glory!!!
Powerful Sermon! Always...(especially during these trying times) Christians must remember to rely totally on God's strength and not our own. Everyone trusts in something. We can't trust our own abilities when we die. Our loved ones are in the most capable hands whether we're still here on earth or not. God is in control. He knows what's best for all of us. Glory to His name!
Another Great Sermon! After hearing this sermon for the first time (I intend to listen a few more times) I’m encouraged to know that I’m not alone in thinking that some scriptures apply to others and not me in the sense that I don’t deserve or I can mess up so bad that God won’t include me. Thank God, it doesn’t depend on me and my ability. I will fail miserably time and again, but God does all things well.
Convicted! We often don’t pray because we think that God will be God and His will will be done regardless which of course is true because he is The Almighty. However, his word teaches us to be faithful by asking and seeking with our whole heart. Too often I find myself silent when I should be crying out to God in prayer perhaps because I’m scared of his answer being contrary to my liking. Although I know he will equip me for anything I’m called to bear, in my humanness I am overwhelmed. Help me, Lord, to fully cry out to you so that my praise will be full.
In Christ Alone! Thank God for Jesus' righteousness credited to my account! It's His righteousness, not mine. Nothing I do is deserving of God's grace. Guard us from self righteousness, Lord.
