The only Bible ever authorized by the United States Congres was one printed by Robert Aitkens. He was commended by President George Washington for providing Americans with Bibles during the embargo of imported English goods due to the Revolutionary War. Hardly the act of a "Satanist".

You got that right, James. Speaking of protest, our governor Cuomo says protesters have the right to assemble and protest, and that's true, under the 1st amendment, if it's peaceable. Funny how much he opposes peaceable assembly of churches, and limits the numbers of those that will be allowed to do so, if safe distancing is practiced and masks are worn. Maybe it would go better for them if they jumped around elbow to elbow, shouted a lot, threw things, and set fires in their parking lots?
I wonder how the gov will discern between the rioters I mean protesters and Pentecostal churches in NY?

btw I'm glad to hear the surgery went well with your wife and pray for the healing process to be equally as good.

If the point of a protest is to bring attention to a matter, then we are far past that point already with this one as it has surpassed the pandemic of 2020 regarding attention.
What needs to happen is to allow our justice system to hold accountable those who are guilty and no further protesting is warranted.

The focus now needs to be on the pandemic of hate which has caused even more sensless bloodshed all in the name of "protest".

In my opinion, I think that our upper brass knows and has known the who/what/when/where of this terrible pandemic for some time but the matter must be handled in the interest that best serves all parties involved.
The reports of covid19 being engineered as a bio weapon in the Wuhan lab appears to be true so what happens from here regarding accountability of the pandemic will be interesting.

Nearly 500 years ago, in 1527, as the plague was sweeping through much of Europe, Martin Luther commented about taking appropriate precautions during a pandemic...

Luther said:
"I shall avoid places and persons where my presence is not needed in order not to become contaminated and thus perchance inflict and pollute others and so cause their death as a result of my negligence."

Thanks for that US and I understand your point of view concerning the mark God gave Cain.
Here's where I think we disagree though....I'm of the thought that the commerce God speaks of regarding the mark is one of a scriptural nature and that treasure being the righteousness one possess. Both Abel and Cain offered sacrifices. God accepted Abel's and rejected Cain's.

So why was Cain's rejected?

Think on this...
My grandchildren enjoy playing connect the dots to discover a picture that is not seen unless those dots are all connected. Since we both agree on Scripture interpreting Scripture should we not consider the other mentions of Cain found in Scripture to discover more "dots" than just the one in Genesis 4 to see more of the picture like those found in Jude and 1 John 3 which mention Cain and "his way"?

Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

What does running greedily after the error of Balaam for reward mean?

What about The "way of Cain"?

In Rom 10:3 and Gal 3:4, Paul describes two means of righteousness. One God accepts, the other He rejects.
Just like the example of Cain and Abel as 1 John 3 teaches us.

Bro. US,
That's a good observation and if Genesis 4 is all we had I would have no reason to think otherwise. I agree, God set a mark on Cain so no man would kill him. But why would God protect one who was clearly His adversary?

“Vengeance belongs to me” said God.

Deut 32:35 *To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence*; their foot shall slide in due time...

And furthermore...Deut. 32:43 ..... *he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries*, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

I think you would agree that Abel was a servant and Cain was an adversary right?

No, I agree that those who receive the mark of the beast will be spiritually the same as the children of the devil.
Exactly. They are spiritually the same and essentially one in the same as the tares spoken of in Matt. 13.
Cain's sacrifice was rejected whereas Abel's was accepted and John, in his first epistle teaches us why.

Hey Frank,
When the apostle John wrote his first epistle he taught from the example given in Genesis 4 begin in with this verse.

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil:

I will let you read the rest of the chapter for yourself but I've never read anywhere in Scripture where those who had the mark of the beast would be different from those who are children of the devil. Are you aware of any?

I'm glad to here you and wife are fine. God is meeting our needs as He promised, even through this rough time.

As far as the mark of the beast,
I think the worshipping the creature passage in Romans is not different than the worshipping the beast in the Revelation. And furthermore the mark set on Cain in Genesis 4 is one in the same as the one mentioned in the Revelation.

Thanks for your post Bro Frank.

Worship the beast and his image and I don't think anyone would disagree is the polar opposite of the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

In Rom 1:25
Those Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator should be looked to

I appreciate you taking time to respond. Can't say I agree with your opinion though. The President has but one job and that is to be the executive assigned to uphold the constitution. He is not a spiritual leader nor should he be. If anyone has placed our president to be their role model then they are sorely in need of guidence of the Wonderful Counselor.

John UK wrote:
Ah James, the saintly one, you remind me of those days when I used to colour in my NIV according to themes, and write out in the margins all references to the OT, just as you did there. It rather surprised me that most of the book of Revelation had already been prophesied in the OT, so it was just a matter of putting the two texts side by side and learning from them both.
That's it Bro!

What you said above is nothing more than Scripture interpreting Scripture and dealing with what is said apart from any preconceived notion and a willingness to be taught by His word as He promised He would. (Isa. 54:13, John 6:45)

Good point, James. There are lots of faulty opinions that will be cleared up as soon as the Lord returns, starting with my own, Brother.
I think the best we can do is read that book with prayer and keep our eyes open, as our Brother Carl has done, to signs of the times.
Thanks for your humble thoughts QC and I don't disagree with anything you said. I would add something to the equation though and that being reading the book of Revelation with the rest of God's word being the guiding light, defining the figurative terms for us, comparing spiritual with spiritual as Paul instructed in 1 Cor 2:14-16.

Here's an example:

Rev 11:3-4 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are *the two olive trees*, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Zech 4:11-14 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these *two olive trees* upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Seems to me the figurative language may be already defined for us if we look for it.

I'm just curious in the thought process on defining the terms found in the Revelation.

Why not look back into the OT and other NT books for the same terms used in the Revelation so as to arrive at an objective understanding?

Hosea 12:10
I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and **used similitudes**, by the ministry of the prophets.

Matt 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and **without a parable spake he not unto them**:
