Passerby wrote: Mike, I understood you and I agree with you. My thought was this - taxes might have a greater voice than voting. People don't hear ballots. There is no dialogue in a ballot. But on the local level, at council meetings, etc. where local representatives are present, one can engage an entire community and effect change for the better. Also, failure of the churches to pay taxes places a greater burden on homeowners. It is like a community without a business base to support municipal services. If the government doesn't listen to people who don't work (to pay taxes), why should they listen to anyone else who does not pay them? Do government official listen to the poor like they tax payers (some)? Money makes many friends of enemies. Passerby Thanks Imho it would be good to see Bible believing churches develop some good compassionate common sense in these things along the lines of how you have said it well |

Passerby wrote: Now I'm seeing how the Church can influence the State; tax contribution. In this way, there would be no need to vote. Huh? The issue of separation of church and state would not be contestable at all. Our taxes would answer many things; like money (Ecc. 10:19). Passerby I didn't say anything about not voting So let me clarify a bit in sharing in the paying of taxes of a community as a church, we are in a much better/stronger position to address government meetings and participate in the doings of government than if churches were freeloading off the taxes of others and putting themselves under the restrictions the state imposes on those with tax exempt status |

Seriously now since I have to think a few genuinely sincere Roman Catholics visit SermonAudio who haven't read the volumes of exchanges between JY and those who genuinely know new birth in Christ the following is something I suspect will break your hearts (read the Bible the 2nd of the 10 Commandments condemns idolatry) and hopefully work in you a desire to know the Truth of Christ which is found in the Bible, God's own holy written word no ill will meant to you at all, just heartbreak over JYSo: For $57.82 you can get for yourself a baby jesus of prague just like John Yurich's Roman Catholics worship, when they are not worshipping their imagination of his mama, you can get a statue of their mary holding baby jesus for only $1109.88 http://www.holyart.com/search/?queryFromSuggest=&query=infant+of+prague in the fantasy world of Roman Catholicism it pays to worship, or is it that you have to pay to worship John Yurich USA wrote: Catholics are not unbelievers as they worship the biblical and historical Jesus as God. An unbeliever does not worship Jesus as God. And what it states in 2 Cor 6:17 is not required for salvation as according to the Bible the only requirement for salvation is to trust in Jesus alone for salvation. |

Calvary Max wrote: According to the Bible, if the Gays come into your shop and demand you bake them a cake, Bake them a cake and cupcakes. Calvary Max Let me plead with you to think deeper Are they simply demanding a cake? Or that the baker bow in worship to their perversion, and to promote and further their perversion in cake and icing? In which case the matter is way different from a robber who comes into a deli and demands a sandwitch to much more like a robber comes into a deli and gives those working there guns to hold at the heads of the customers to molest and rob them 2 Chron 19:2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD. and another consideration would Imho be the Hebrew midwives who refused to obey Pharoah's order to murder Jewish baby boys in Moses day and near to our own times, seems like many Christians refused to cooperate in turning in Jews to the Nazi authorities Again please do think deeper |

PP wrote: Jim, Stop repeating these false ideas of State-worship that you continually spout. Progressive taxation is from Karl Marx. State or Caesar is not god. You are preaching the violation of the first 3 laws of the decalogue. Obey God not men. It is such thinking that has made the Church in the US and the West irrelevant and weak. The Magna Carta would never had been written if Him and Rugh had their way, which means no Reformation, no bill of rights, no USA, no Constitution. Man shall live hy God's Law, theonomy, or live under tyranny. Stop preaching slavery to Caesar. You are free in Christ. God bless. PP I appreciate your post. And if memory serves me the very unbiblical progressive tax is indeed from Karl Marx It might be safe to say Tyrannts hate a prosperous middle class (the Joe the Plumbers that Obama et all would plunder to enrich the voters on their welfare rolls) because a prosperous middle class doesn't need government dictatorship and has the means to oppose it (finances to support and arm a local militia and sherrif's department, finances to fund a free, uncontrolled by government able to expose its lies and propaganda AND ALSO support preachers and churches that stand for the Truth of Christ!) |

pennned wrote: and how do we get people to wake up to what rothschilds and others are doing to create their world order? Dear AFRAID of Rothschilds and Jewish (Jesuits too I suppose) BogeymenIsaiah 8 12 "You are not to say, 'It is a conspiracy!' In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it. 13 "It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. Penny, I have no idea of who is influencing you to post the things you do but hope that whoever it is that you would cease allowing them to dimish your faith in the Almighty Sovereign Sufficiency of the God of ALL Grace. Are sleeping lukewarm churches a terrible heartbreaking matter, sure they are but don't let the devil deceive you into thinking your salvation, and those who you love and care about are dependant on a thoroughly weak humanity, but on God who is mighty and willing to save, Yes! Even to bring a mighty GOSPEL Revival |

1517 wrote: I guess the true Prophet,Elijah, should not have mocked the Baal priests neither. Further, maybe GOD shouldn't have mocked all idol worship when he explained how the same wood used for fire and cooking food is the same to carve up an idol. Graham would have Christians "stand up!" for religious freedom, but not for God's glory. Lastly, Muslim "faith" is not faith at all. I mock that religion without hesitation. 1517 I thought of Elijah and Pam Geller when I read the headline this morning. While I might not necessarily use (abuse) the word "mock" in our witness to Muslims neither do I believe we bow down in cowardice to them, terrified in telling things as they are. Imho Pam Geller is making a correct observation the issue with Islam and Shariah law is one in which we must respectfully (even with appropriate political humor/satire) insist on the freedom of speech for non- Muslims, as in this the preaching/publishing of the Gospel is at stake, lest appeasement motivate or excuse them into insane violence, and we cowardly shut the door on our own witness, excusing ourselves that we are just trying to be respectful Just Imho And btw Catholics (Mariolatrers beloved by SteveR) and Muslims adore the same God CCC 841 |
