There are children and adults in the world living by/at garbage dumps, and surviving off what they can gather which is still of use. In the same way, I believe many unbelievers are spiritually hungry. Picking through the refuse of a secular sinful society and finding little scraps of truth to nurture their souls. Make no mistake, God will thoroughly purge His threshing floor — with or without our help, He will glean every little piece of wheat; He will reap where He hasn't sown; and will collect all His children unto Himself leaving no stone unturned. __________________________________________________ "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." ~ Matthew 3:11-12 KJV "The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet." ~ Proverbs 27:7 KJV |

I believe a causation of fornication is clearly spelled out in Romans 1:20-30; there is a process whereby individuals reject God's commandments and seek after their own lusts. A believe a commonality in persons who commit sexual sins is: their lack of glory given to God, and a lack of thankfulness to Him. People are required to, "retain God in their knowledge," otherwise, God will hand "them over to a reprobate mind" (Romans 1:28 KJV). God's Word, is the key — not only in abstaining from premarital sex, but all manner of sin. We must, "retain God in our knowledge," and, hide God's Word in our hearts. This article is very interesting and informative — the secrecy of the Masons has long been a mystery to me. Yet, people in our society are free to access information about biblical Christianity. God's Word is accessible for people to reform their lives and their churches. Though many chose to be in ignorance of God's Word, the Scriptures are available to them. But with the Masons there are many secrets, just as there are many secrets with Scientology. "Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, 'Which is the first commandment of all?' Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”' ~ Mark 12:28-31 NKJV |

Mark 3:32-35 KJV wrote: And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. How long will Catholics continue to look to Mary and lifeless relics for consolation? Mary did not die for our sins at the cross, and, was/is not the sinless Lamb of God — we also know through the Scriptures that Mary had marital relations with Joseph (after Jesus was born) and had further sons and daughters. Therefore she does not have, 'perpetual virginity'! The worship of Mary is making her into a god, and is idolatry. The real Mary mother of Jesus our Christ would not have consented to being worshipped, and had said unto the servants at the wedding in Cana of Galilee: "[W]hatsoever [Jesus] says unto you, do it" (John 2:5). |

The public education system transmits the values of popular culture to its students. When I was in elementary school, teachers were still permitted to read the Bible in class. Therefore, when I was in grade 1, 2 and grade 7, the Bible was read in class every morning - along with the class saying The Lord's Prayer. Growing up in a non-Christian home, I was still sent to Sunday school. It is just the way things were. I'd also happily read the Bible story books (or at least look at the pictures), in the doctor's office waiting area. I was brought up in a culture where I ended up learning about Jesus, the Scriptures, and concepts of morality even though my family was very liberal. Children in public schools (including children with Christian parents), are now brought up in a very different world than the one I grew up in. The norms in a society creates a plumb line for children to measure their behaviours and beliefs against. Children are now seeing sexual immorality as a norm in society, the media, popular culture, and even in the church. ________________________________________________ "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners." ~ 1 Corinthians 15:33 KJV "Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” ~ 1 Corinthians 15:33 NASB |

Thank you Lurker, Ginger, and GsTexas,I appreciate your prayers for me for Christian fellowship — God heard the cry of my heart (for encouragement from other believers) and relayed this to you, and you all prayed for me! Lurker did send me a private message on January 11th asking if I would come back; I really appreciated the thought, but didn't plan on becoming a regular poster again. Then the message weighed on my spirit for three weeks, and I felt a tugging on my heart! __________________________________________________ As for the abortion issue, I can understand people being really angry. Today I happened across a video of a partial birth abortion, and have no doubt in my mind that this practice is murder. The truth is — someone should pay, and someone should die for these murders — and someone has — this person has been found guilty for the sin of abortion, and has been given the death penalty... This man, is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Jesus took the punishment for our sins at the cross — there was a trial, and Jesus was sentenced to death for our transgressions. “…he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities…” |

Anne wrote: Jessica D and Frank - reminds me of Aaron and the Isrealites waiting for Moses. "[Aaron] took the gold from their hands, fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made it into an image of a calf. Then they said, “Israel, this is your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt! ” When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; then he made an announcement: “There will be a festival to the Lord tomorrow.” Early the next morning they arose, offered burnt offerings, and presented fellowship offerings. The people sat down to eat and drink, then got up to play. (Exodus 32:4-6) They build their "golden calf", then declare its use as a festival to the Lord. There is no fear of the Lord in these people! I would only add that they are indeed praising "something". God keep us indeed! Thank you Anne, I appreciate your thoughts! |

I thought it was interesting, the photo that was put with the article showing a person with their hands raised in the air. Imagine, people getting together and praising nothing, and no one? May God bless and sheild believers around the world and protect them from backsliding into having unbelieving hearts! "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one." ~ Psalm 14:1-3 KJV |

Thank you Barry, Dorcas, Ginger, & GsTexas,When I was pregnant at fifteen years old, I went to doctor after doctor before I found one that didn't try to convince me to have an abortion. I even had one social worker try to convince me to have an abortion. One doctor was yelling at me, wanting me to hear him out. I was yelling back at him, and I stormed out while we were yelling at each other! There are systems in place which bully girls and women into having abortions. There are husbands, pimps, boyfriends, and even parents, who bully their wives, women they have prostituted, girlfriends, and daughters into having abortions. I was strong, but I do not blame women/girls who were not as strong as God gave me the strength to be to fight for their babies. I had support from my parents, the baby's father, and a politician in the news at the time who was standing against abortion in the spite of ridicule — all gave me strength against the social worker and the doctors. I prayed for years to meet this same Canadian politician (Bill Vander Zalm), and when I met him and told him he praised God, thanked me, and gave me a big hug! His praise to God, is my praise to God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ — |

Dorcas wrote: Yes, Jessica I will add the Biss family and your husband to my prayer list. I consider it a privilege that you asked me. I'm sure others who will read your post will also pray too. "The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust him". Nahum 1:7 Thank you for your prayers, and for your thoughtful post. I'm getting to an age in my life where I know that at any time a loved one may pass away. I have a very large extended family who are getting very old. I think of when Jacob died full of years, how Joseph and the Egyptians spent more than a month in great mourning. Then, I think of this day and age, and how people so often when an aged person dies, they bypass mourning and tears. "They lived a long life," people will say... Yet, my life has been one of sorrows, and I live as one who mourns... May God bless you abundantly for praying for my afflicted soul; may God bless you as He blessed Ruth, for her kindness to Naomi... "O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?" ~ Psalm 6:1-3 KJV |
