Matt 5:27 “You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery. ' 28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Lust is adultery of the heart. It is the strong sexual desire for something or someone that is forbidden.
God calls us to not only respect but to esteem the marriage bond and marriage itself as HE has instituted it. God condemns all unchastity, and that therefore we should thoroughly detest it and live decent and chaste lives within or outside of the holy state of marriage. We are temples of the Holy Spirit, body and soul, and God wants both to be kept clean and holy. That is why God forbids all unchaste actions, looks, talk, thoughts, or desires, and whatever may incite someone to them. God has not only instituted the marriage bond (which reflects Christ and His church. He never leaves or forsakes her and is ALWAYS faithful!) and also gives intimacy within the marriage to the husband and wife! The pinnacle and highest expression of love between them to enjoy within the bond and institution He has ordered.
Do you know you are temples and vessels of the Living God? "Be ye holy as I am Holy!"
