Great Sermon! Comforting. Encouraging. This hits me right where I am right now. Life doesn’t make sense. But I know my God does! Thank you Brother Johnston.
Great Sermon! This message goes well with the previous one on eternity and heaven. So needed in our day of lukewarmness and casualness in our churches. Thank you Pastor Johnston.
Great Sermon! This was another great short message that gets right to the heart of the matter. Believers and unbelievers alike keep putting off eternal things for mere temporal trivial matters. I can't help believing that things in the "Church" would be vastly improved if pastors throughout our land preached against the wicked entertainment industry, but instead it is heartily approved of and embraced by most pulpits. "Just don't watch an "R" movies", how weak and spineless is that? ...
Sobering Sermon! This was an extremely sobering message, about false conversion and profession of faith. So disturbing in fact, that I need to listen to it a few more times -- it warrants that kind of attention. Each individual Christian needs to cry out to God for conviction of sin, deliverance from a cold heart, repentance, and true saving faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Oh Lord, please deliver me!
As always a blessing to listen Hi Dr. Johnston,
Thank you again for all you do. I am still playing most of your messages on our program and wanted to tell you that today we're playing this one. You're in my prayers.
Great Sermon! This is a very sobering message about the dangerous condition of our nation, about ready to fall. I've been saddened to see that so many think that because a particular Presiddntial candidate was elected, the apparent lesser of two evils, that the nation is suddenly on an upward trajectory. People, by and large, are out for their self-interests, and their hearts remain hardened to God. I see it all around me. The pastors' hearts are stone, and it's business as usual in the church. Real revival starts with brokenness and repentance. But most are more interested in their social media, sports fanaticism, and living for the world. It matters not whether one is Christian or not, it's the same condition. I feel like I'm living in Babylon. May God grant a hearing ear to at least a few in these last days of our nation. God bless you Dr Johnston.
Great message but gave me pause ... This was another wonderful message, but I was greatly challenged when Dr Johnston mentioned losing his wife right after praying for full surrender and to be used of God. I am currently wrestling with what God wants of me, and wonder if I could accept such a sacrifice. I hope my answer is yes ... yes to absolute surrender to Jesus, even if it means losing everything in this life. In Jesus name, Amen!!
Another Excellent Sermon! I pray I could sit with a number of pastors on the steps of their churches and play this 7 minute message for them to hear. I pray it would cut to their heart. Often I wonder if most pastors, preachers, and leaders are beyond reach due to their love of this world and pleasing people rather than pleasing God. Thank you for this, Brother Johnston.
Heart-breaking Message! Anyone who hears this should experience deep sorrow for how far the church has fallen. The church has become just like the world, wanting to compete with the world and have fellowship with the world. It is the church that needs revival first and foremost, and after that the nation. But we can't expect the nation to repent when the church won't, when the church is more satisfied with entertainment, popularity, and a party lifestyle -- than it is separating unto Christ from this world. So sad to see a church I used to attend have a football tailgate party. So sad to see rock musicians parading their talent in a proud way and calling it worship. So sad to see programs and games, laughing and lightheartedness, while the world goes to Hell and the church with it. No brokenness, no consecrateness, no real prayer, no anguish, no repentance. And no love for the Holy Scriptures over the thoughts and plans of men. My prayer for 2017 is that there would be an awakening and repentance in the church, a very real one, not the worldly so-called reivivals that are nothing more than a placebo to our consciences. May we become broken and desperate for God once again.
Great Sermon! This sermon is Scriptural and spot on. More of God's remnant have had to come out among them and be ye separate because of the church's apostasy.
2 Minutes of Sober Truth! When I hear a message like this, it chills and convicts me deeply. Brother Johnston has a deep burden for righteousness, revival, and Biblical truth. When he said "Why are you laughing in the pulpit, when nobody is laughing here?" (Hell), it should cause all to be broken in spirit. This brother sees it, one of so few today that do! Is anybody listening? Would that multitudes of pastors would preach like this, it would probably empty the churches, with the remaining few being those who still were able to feel conviction and really wanted to follow Jesus.
Great Sermon! Just listened to this great preaching whch is so true for the UK too. I believe Ichabod is wrtten over the doors of the churches. We deserve only Gods wrath, but we plead mercy
Great Sermon! I totally agree with you Tony! I am so strengthened and encouraged by all the messages by Pastor E A Johnston. This kind of preaching is not heard in the vast majority of churches, and pastors do need to repent of their lukewarmness. Pastor Johnston has a deep burden for repentance and revival, and that so resonates with my heart. Unfortunately, in America church has become a Sunday morning social club without any true heartfelt brokenness for God. More Biblical truth is preached from Pastor Johnston in 5 or 10 minutes than what you get in many churches in a whole year! Extremely sad but true. God bless you Pastor Johnson for being a true light for the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
Sadly True I live in Australia and he has tragically and perfectly described the majority of churches here. Praise God for this brother. I only wish it went for 1 hour or so. We need more of this sort of preaching.
Great Sermon! E.A Johnston preaches it like it is. I bet the leaders of most churches never invite him back because of their guilt after listening to him. Instead they should all get on their knees and repent.
