Likeness. Likeness of Christian to the 4 living ones. We have fellowship with God, so we are like the heavenly creatures. But we are still human and we have the flesh remaining in us, so we are like the earthly creatures.
Warning. The danger of being inactive in the work of the Lord, uninvolved, a spectator. Opposition between Saul the inactive and Jonathan the involved.
Great Sermon! Dear Pastor, Thank you for your message. I am a missionary in Nigeria. Hearing your voice, I heard the voice of God in it. I made the mistake in the past to come outside to the people with my 'interior garments' like a foolish woman coming out on the streets in her night gown. Just like Jesus said not to throw pearls to pigs, intimacy with God has a high price that few are willing to pay.
O, for the cross to wotk in me, to be dead to the desire to have 'personal' friends...
I received fresh encouragment this evening from hearing you preach. God bless you, your family and ministry, in the name of Jesus,
Amen. Lia Leigh.
Great Sermon! I have recently been reading Isaiah 3 as part of my devotions, and I noticed how timely this chapter speaks to our nation, and other nations, and the awful state of our church and nation today. God's Holy Word demonstrates how alive it is to people, nations and believers, yet they will not see. A good message Dr. Douglas, I thank you sir.
Good testimony This a an interesting and model testimony. Too often, what is called a testimony tends to emphasize the sins that a person has committed rather than being filled with words which minister grace unto the hearers. Not so here.
Affirming the truth. Excellent denouncement of compromise with evolutionary beliefs in millions pf years of creation. Refutation of such views as: theistic evolution, gap theory, day-age theory. Helpful biblical arguments.
To glory in the cross. It is a message based on Galatians 6:14, explaining what it means to glory in the cross, from the book of Galatians. There is no reference to the book of Malachi, no verse quoted.
Contradicted by God. A parallel between the situation of the people in the time of Malachi and those in Revelation 3:17,18. Discrepancy between what the people considers about their spiritual condition and what the Lord says. Empty ceremonies.
