Necessary Teaching My prayer is that all Christians listen to this needful message.
We have the holy spirit of God living in us and working in us to cause us to be obedient to himself, his laws, and to government. We should be the best citizens; moral, and doing what is right in the sight of God and man. Christ is ours and we are his. We have the mind of Christ. We should be known by the fruit of the spirit Gal. 5.
Those who do not have the spirit of Christ polling places where they can vote for individuals that under God's civil law can design and legislate laws for disobedient and unruly men who walk not after the Spirit.
So how is it Christians want men to rule over them by voting? If the wicked vote and discover that his brother (non-Christian) is too harsh in judgment, then that man-made law might bring him to Christ just as the Law given to Moses. It can become burdensome and good at the same time.
Yada, yada. Good teaching regardless of my comments.
Great Sermon! Is the Solemn League and Covenant righteous and biblical? This sermon examines the six articles of the Covenant and finds them to be, indeed, righteous and biblical!
Great Sermon! A great sermon in which the biblical view of history is presented, as well as the history of events leading up to, surrounding, and following the signing of the Solemn League and Covenant!
Great Sermon! Did the national covenant between God and Israel terminate when God gave Israel a certificate of divorce? Does the Solemn League and Covenant bind posterity only materially, or formally? Could King Charles II nullify the Covenant because he had been forced to take it? And was he really forced to take it, or did he take it willingly? The answers to all these questions are to be found in this sermon!
Great Sermon! An important sermon in regard to the question of whether the United States continues to be bound by the Solemn League and Covenant, even though it established a separate political identity from the British Crown upon winning the Revolutionary War.
Great Sermon! This sermon addresses the question of whether a national covenant is still binding when one of the parties to it swore deceitfully. In light of the history of the Solemn League and Covenant, this is an important doubt to resolve in one's mind, making this a critically important sermon in this series.
Great Sermon! This sermon sets forth the biblical criteria for distinguishing between lawful and unlawful civil magistrates, and also shows that covenants made by unlawful magistrates are binding upon a nation.
Great Sermon! This sermon affirms the lawfulness of renewing a national covenant, even after the passing of many years, and also answers objections which may be raised to covenant renewal. Another helpful sermon in understanding this important subject!
Great Sermon! This sermon answers some questions about national covenanting, specifically whether covenants made between rulers and their people are are as binding as covenants between God and a nation, and also whether covenants which a nation initiates with God are as binding as covenants initiated by God with a nation. Instructive!
Great Sermon! This sermon shows that the words of a national covenant may be altered to reflect the changed circumstances of a covenanted people, so long as the moral substance of the covenant is not changed or diminished in any way. Very helpful!
Great Sermon! Very appreciative of this series on National Covenanting! In this day of such great judgments upon our covenanted lands, it's absolutely necessary that our Covenant obligations to King Jesus be made known far and wide, and that the call to repentance goes forth to all.
Great Sermon! A Neglected Topic We've been listening to this Biblical view with conviction. Psalm 19 came to our minds and we rejoiced. Thank you pastor Greg for giving both Biblical and secular historical documentation. Another scripture came to mind. Isaiah 58. And if we don't listen to God then why should he listen to us when we pray amiss?
Imagine believers criticizing pagan Catholicism while participating in their anti Christian, anti Christ festivals. It is absurd and evil.
How will our children know the difference between the holy and the profane? What's to prevent them from participating in LGBT events? Or, Halloween?
We really want to bless our God who has given us the knowledge of His perfect laws which converts the soul.
It seems, after listening to your message, that only the ignorant, soulish, and rebellious individual would oppose God and continue to show irreverence for His Son. If they knew him, it seems that they would fear him; whose eyes are like burning fire.
Worship Christ alone in the beauty of holiness.
Great Sermon! How many pastors know what "will worship" is? How many presume upon God thinking he has given them liberty to engage in idolatry?
This message brought sadness to my heart realizing how many sheep are being led astray by leaders who celebrate with the wicked at Christmas.
One renown apologist celebrates this money making machine because of the childhood fuzzies and various aromas it arouses.
Thank you Greg. Thank you for strengthening us. We are not alone.
