Something To Think About Isn't it sad that even in many churches wickedness is now being called a sickness, a disease, a weakness. Nor is there a call to repentance. And worldly sorrow is mistaken for godly sorrow.
'Unthankfulness Sermon' Repeat Hi, Pastor Jeff, fyi, this is not/no longer the "Forgiveness" sermon, but a repeat of your "Unthankfulness" message.
Appalled. I too am appalled at my life, at myself. At times horrified. Both for sinning against conscience before conversion and for sinning against conscience and sinning against The Holy Spirit post conversion. There is a Balm of Gilead that heals the sin sick soul.
Great Sermon! My friend told me about a church she had attended where the music minister was verbally abusive. Members would "pat the hand" of the abused and apologetically say, "Don't be hurt by what he said, he's a blunt, very direct speaking person. That's just who he is."
Great Message! From the sermon details:
What are the warning signs of evil that we should spot in the church? Why are Christians so stubbornly reluctant to call evil what it is... EVIL.
Pastor Jeff, this is a great continuation to your "Wise as Serpents" series.
The Abusive Side of Evil Is this part of the "Wise as Serpents" series Bro. Jeff teaches one to be aware that evil/abusive people lack empathy, are manipulative, conniving, and have double standards.
That Broadway to Destruction In this continuation of the" Wise as Serpents" series Bro. Jeff gives us evidences of some "Christ-confessing" people, churches and organizations that are on the broadway to destruction. Thanks for reminding us, Bro. Jeff, that we are not suppose to turn a blind eye toward evil.
The Guilty Victim Yes, too many times the victim is declared guilty for the perpetrator's sin.
Thanks, Bro. Jeff, for the reminder that the evildoer hates the righteous.
