Excellent Sermon! This is a good sermon. It shows what is wrong with CCM in a straight forward way. We as Christians must be careful what we listen to. If CCM is wrong, what about the Beatles or the modern rock stars? They must be wrong too!
Great Sermon! Why aren't more preachers taking the Word of God and applying it like this to living a Christian life? Thank you Pastor Reed for faithfully proclaiming the Word of God to a dying world! Pastor Reed lays down the biblical basis for rejection of the modern idea of sports and puts it where it should be, in the back yard! Thank you again Pastor Reed!
Great Sermon! This is a necessary sermon for all Christians. Rev. Reed has done a good job with the information on music. Many Christians don't know this stuff about classical music, and if classical music is bad then what about the Beatles and other rock groups?
Great Sermon! Each and every Christian should listen to this message! The truths and principles that Pastor Reed applies from the Scriptures are desperately needed in our day! We give thanks to the Lord for your faithful preaching Pastor Reed. May He bless you and your work.
Great Sermon! This sermon could be entitled "The False Gap Theory in a nutshell" Wish everyone who has bought into the gap theory and evolution and many other so called scientific truths (really scientific errors) would listen and take note! Wish it would be taught in public schools too!
Truly the gap theory along with evoluton can be part of the grand delusion the Bible records God is going to send! Right along with the alien agenda!!
Interesting Topic I happened by this message as it was being featured on the website. Having grown up around gospel music, I have become increasingly aware of the culture that surrounds this music and as well, increasingly disgusted with it and how the church (particularly Southern Baptists) have embraced these performers. I sang in a gospel quartet in highschool and loved and still love the harmonies that accompany this music. But as far as spiritual value, I find the lyrics to be full of humanistic doctines of heaven, God's love and forgiveness, and so on. So little of repentence and so little of true Christianity. It's feel good music. I do not condemn the style because I do not believe a style is indicative of righteousness. But I hate the culture and have found true worship through praise and worship music as the words are often directed towards the Father. While this is a genre that encompasses a miriad of styles, I find that none of it is popular with the non-christians, and that it is not centered on performance or geared to attract non-christians. While perhaps not all involved with this genre have the best of motives, I believe this music is teaching more and more individuals every day how to truely worship Christ. Don't condemn the style, condemn the message.
Great Sermon! I grew up taking dance classes - loved toe ballet mainly. Even danced at 30 on USS Abraham Lincon with my old toe shoes.
But God has something to say about dancing so I will take special note on His warnings! (Good thing we have 5 boys - no ballet for them - makes it easy!! I hope football is ok!!)
Great Sermon! A must for every Christian and parents to hear. Thank you Pastor Reed for having the courage to preach the truth concerning so much we are exposed to and never consider how occult it is; our children are being entertained and indoctrinated into the occult and we bring it in our home for them to watch and then wonder what happened to them. How I pray more Pastors would see tis truth and start warning their members rather than advocating watching of these movies.
Important Sermon! Like incorrigible children who can no longer be reproved, corrected, even by chastening, being given up is the final sentence. This should cause us to tremble and be reflective to our own course, even among churches, for it certainly follows that if churches follow their own course of innovations, new methods and abandoning of sound doctrine, the true gospel, and purity of manners they are "on their own". Being "independent" of biblical doctrine and manners is like a rebellious child refusing instruction. So churches can be given up by God to their own way while they believe themselves justified and sound, by their own standards.
"Rebellious children" are about impossible to recover unless awakened as the prodigal from the error of their ways and "disobedient children" are the sign of the times, that no longer follow their parent's and grandparent's ways.
