Instructive guidelines There are important truths presented about the music from the Romantic period onwards. Yes, music has a language and is not amoral. Yet, Bach and some Baroque music differ from such modern styles in purpose and structure, as it is balanced music having a sense of direction, appealing to the spirit, and normally characterized by order, joy and beauty. Valid music reflects the attributes of God, not base, lower feelings, as sensuality, revenge, frustration, fear, or contempt for example. Good to listen to your observations.

Pastor Reed the first to preach in this!! I never heard a sermon Classical Music preached before, and I learned a lot from this. Pastor Reed preaches separation from the world, which SO FEW do. I recommend his other sermons on Television, Entertainment, Hollywood, The Beatles, CCM, Disney, C.S. Lewis, Standing Alone, and Persecution to name a few. In short people, including Christians, love the world and do not wish to give it up. They want all they can get from the world and then Heaven at the end too! But we are admonished to "Love not the world or the things in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him". REPENT!!!

Great Sermon! This is a necessary sermon for all Christians. Rev. Reed has done a good job with the information on music. Many Christians don't know this stuff about classical music, and if classical music is bad then what about the Beatles and other rock groups?
