We really look forward to the 9:15 message each Sunday morning. It is really disappointing when we are not able to hear it. It sure helps to begin the day with a blessing. Hope this doesn't happen often.
A wonderful sermon! Dear brother Bartel, this message is a real feast of the truth of God's Word. I hope others will listen and profit -- for our culture continues to be a dangerous place for those who seek spiritual prosperity. Thank you for this faithful message. (And I hope to see you at the Banner conf. again some day).
I am sick this morning & can't go to church, so I'm listening to different audios by Joel Beeke instead. I really appreciate them! They are truly a blessing. Some of my family also listens to the recording during the week. Thanks again for your ministry via the internet!
Very good sermon I was especially encouraged and challenged by the parts about not counting our own tears for favour with God, and concerning the "tearless parents" who may have to watch their children be handed over to Satan.
Very Helpful Sermon If only all of God's people could resolve strife in this way, what a "good and pleasant" thing it would be (Ps. 133), and what a testimony to the Canaanites and Perizzites! Of course, it can't happen with the church as a whole until it begins in our own individual hearts and lives. An inspiring message!
Invigourating Sermon It was a very good sermon...inspiring to fight the foe with renewed vigour, in spite of discouragement from painfully slow progress.
Listen to this Message! Oh, that there was preaching like this in all the churches of God, and that God would grant what Dr. Beeke puts forth as a challenge to us!
His blood is precious indeed I recommend this message because
1)It gives a broad biblical view of the blood of Christ.
2) The message is brief - doesn't take long to listen to, but has alot of edifying truth in it.
3)The pastor speaks reverently and lovingly of Jesus.
4)It helped me to love Jesus Christ more.
This sermon made me pray This is such a biblical, Christ-centered, and heart-moving sermon. God bless it. When I had listened to it I couldn't stop praying and praising God. If you lack a view of Christ, then do listen to this sermon.
Great Sermon! Dr. Beeke. Thanks for these timely reminders. Lord Bless
"The Sabbath is to be sanctified by a holy resting all that day...and spending the whole time in the public and private exercises of God's worship..."
Sweet, pure, living water for a parched soul Thank God for using this refreshing message--as He has used so many of Dr. Beeke's sermons in the past--to help raise me from my juniper tree!
One of the Best Sermons I've Ever Heard By a clear and powerful exposition of the text, Dr. Beeke shows the Gospel's content (Christ Jesus came to save sinners), reliability (This is a faithful saying), scope (worthy to be accepted by all), personalness (...sinners, of whom *I* am chief), patience (that...Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering), and doxology (...to Whom be glory forever and ever, Amen). A wonderful, God-glorifying sermon!
Before it is too late... A sobering reality check, especially for young people - I encourage anyone who does not see a need for Jesus Christ to listen to this sermon! Many compelling reasons are given. (And I was surprised to hear Pastor Murray say he was in America during this sermon. Heritage Netherlands is in Grand Rapids, MI? Got to be an interesting story behind that.)
Motivational Sermon! An enheartening reminder to never lay down arms or give sin a moment's rest, or to be satisfied with anything short of perfection! Our salvation is already accomplished, but the warfare is still of vital importance. It's also encouraging to remember, when the monsters of sin look so daunting, that perseverant soldiers, who keep their eyes fixed upon Jesus, WILL be conquerors, and that the battle is one that even the most experienced saints face until death. Unbelievers follow their own pleasures, but our constant struggle brings "pleasure forevermore at the right hand of God".
