We continued our look at the Pilgrim Songs. We came to the 7th song. In this song we have the people of God so joyful so enraptured by their deliverance it is as if they were dreaming. It seemed too good to be true, and yet it was all true. The nations declare how these people are blessed by the Lord and the Psalmist declares himself that their blessing comes from God. The second part of the Psalm is a prayer which is focused on furhter deliverance and refreshing streams. The Psalm concludes with the cycle of the pilgrim this side of glory - there is weeping and joy, there is sowing and reaping.
