God's people in exile felt their sin was too great for there to be any hope of restoration. They were weary with their sense of fear and abandonment. They despaired of the future and were worn out with grief.
But there is One who is able to sustain with a word him who is weary: a word that can wake us up from the deep weariness of our shame; a word that commands us to stand and be strong. We too need to hear such comfort of our God. We too need to wake up and shake off our past and sing for joy at such good news of happiness. This is great news for those who feel unworthy and unredeemable!
