In the previous sermons in this short series on the nature of God, we reflected upon how such things are revealed by natural and special revelation. In this sermon, Pastor Russ discusses some of God’s communicable and incommunicable attributes with emphasis on the incommunicable, and how it can be very difficult for we humans to comprehend those attributes such as self-existence, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, etc. But just because these attributes of God transcend the boundaries of science, does that make it reasonable that scientists should hold a symposium concluding that: 1. Science should do away with religion, 2. Science should put itself in place of religion, and 3. Man can be good without God? Well they did and you may be surprised at the vehemence with which some of these scientists disagree with the Christian worldview as they influence many of the people teaching our children today.
