Isaiah chapters three and four are aptly summarized by the title, “Hope amidst Punishment.” There is a great contrast between the themes of these two chapters, which culminate in the hope for the coming kingdom of God. Dr. John Whitcomb, our Bible teacher, will make the nature of this contrast clear and plain in this week’s lesson. In studying both of these chapters together, we learn much about the course that history will take, and the plan that God has for the future. As host Wayne Shepherd reminds us, God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end! That message has been reinforced throughout this series called “Isaiah: The LORD is Salvation.” Whitcomb Ministries thanks Middletown Bible Church in Middletown, Connecticut, for their fellowship in this Bible-teaching broadcast. This message was first presented there several years ago at the Independent Fundamental Bible Conference—and we appreciate their permission to bring it to you here on “Encounter God’s Truth.”
