After Moses told them that God had commanded all that had a willing heart to give for the tabernacle and all who were wise-hearted to work to build the tabernacle, we see their response. They brought their jewelry. They brought the acacia boards that they had with them. They brought their blue, purple and scarlet thread. They brought rams skins dyed red. They brought all of these things that God had prepared for them to bring by having them plunder those things from the Egyptians on Passover. God caused the wealth of His enemies to be used to worship Him. He also caused everyone who had skills to exercise them for the Lord. Men and women all helped as they had needed skills, but there was also one man, Bezalel, who had the knowledge and the artistry to be able to do it all. There was much work to be done, so while he had the skills to do it all, God raised up many people to do the work as Bezalel directed it with his assistant, Aholiab. Because it is a pattern of heavenly things, God raised up men that could build it to match the pattern shown Moses on the mountain.
