After the start of the collection of the things that are required for the tabernacle, the gifted artisans work under the direction of Bezalel and Aholiab to make the things necessary for the service of the tabernacle. Every morning all the workman would receive offerings that people freely brought to Moses until they all asked Moses to stop the collection. The people were restrained from bringing, not because they didn't want to give, but because more than enough had been collected. The first thing that is listed that they worked on were the curtains of the tabernacle. There were four layers. The first layer was linen with pictures of cherubim woven into the hangings. The next layer was out of goat's wool. Then there was a layer of ram's skins dyed red and the last layer was of "badger" which was probably more like an antelope. In this passage, service of the tabernacle is repeated, which should remind us that we are not here to be the church of God. The church of God is here to do the service of God.
