Misapplying the Law, that was given specifically to the nation of Israel, to the Church is a result of the presumption that Israel as the people of God have been replaced by the Church. Overlooked is the fact of the Sinaitic Covenant being conditional while the Abrahamic was unconditional. The Law was never given as a means of salvation or sanctification. It is confusion and untrue that faith in the Gospel is only a partial means of salvation with faith being necessary but salvation being incomplete as a result of faith alone. Such a misunderstanding is spiritually deadly. The Law as a tutor served the purpose of God's intention until Jesus Christ came.
