Matthew 26:41, ‘Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
The word for watch does not mean predict, speculate, host conferences in which people are scared half to death with charts and wild interpretations. Rather watch means to be ready.
And thus, the disposition that Christ exhorted for His people in this age was one in which we are ready for His return.
