God’s word calls everyone to repentance. To repent literally means a change in mind. In the scriptures, repentance is always a change in mind that results in a change in direction. If we realize that we need to change, but we do not, we have not repented. We are not doing people a favor if we lie to them, and if we pretend that everything is okay and it is not, then we are lying. We need to tell people the truth. People need to know that judgement is coming. If we do not know Jesus, we are headed for an eternal fire. Our only hope is Jesus. We have to honestly tell people about the danger they are in.
