The Babylonians had totally destroyed their nation, including Jerusalem and the temple, and devastated their land.This passage is an amazing message of hope to all who feel hopeless. God gives to Ezekiel this vision of the valley of dry bones to let the people know that there is hope and that there is a future for Israel.We are going to see that God promises that one day Israel will be restored to their land. They would experience a resurrection. Ezekiel actually saw a valley full of scattered dry bones that were gathered together, given new flesh, and brought back to life. Only the power of God could accomplish such a phenomenal event. Do you know what will give life to a church? Do you know what will give life in your Bible class or in marriage or family where you are?The word of God, prayer, and the Spirit of God. When the Messiah returns to set up God's kingdom on earth, the Holy Land will be the seat of God's government .). God's temple will be built in Jerusalem, and a very special manifestation of His presence will dwell there with His people forever. God will be their God, and they will be His people.
