It might surprise you to know that Jesus Christ desires a deep, abiding, loving friendship with you. He calls us His friends!!! As Jesus' friends, we are privy to the full revelation of God! He not only gives us the entire picture, but His Spirit that enables us to understand the Scriptures. As Jesus' friends, we experience close, personal, intimate fellowship with Him. His love for us is patterned after the Father's love for Jesus. But for us to enjoy the sense of intimacy with Jesus Christ, we must 'abide in Him'. We abide by keeping His commandments which include loving God and loving one another. And then, as Jesus' friends, we are chosen to serve Him. We are on His team, sharing life with Him and ministering to others! Are you one of Jesus' friends? Have you accepted His gracious invitation to trust Him for your salvation and forgiveness of sin?
