The Lord has heard the cry of his people and, despite their rejection of him, he continues to show mercy to them. Such is the nature and character of our God and Father. We too, who were once enemies of God have received his mercy and grace in Christ – the 'Anointed One' – our true Lord and King. He alone is worthy to be the Lord's anointed king, for he listens to every word that comes from his Father.
