But we pay a high price by stubbornly looking to the world for what the Father alone promises to provide. Worldly solutions, rather than delivering us, end up enslaving us. Israel never heeded God's warning! Instead, through painful experience, they learnt the foolishness of stubbornly trusting in man rather than in God. Be careful what you ask for. Sometimes He gives us what we want to teach us that Heaven's ways are best!
