These two verses are unique in that they speak of "glorification" five times. The words "now" in v. 31 and "at once" in v. 32 indicate that it is the looming cross, with the subsequent resurrection and ascension, that are the chief means by which both the Son glorifies the Father, and the Father works to bring glory to himself. The dark night of the cross became the bright light revealing the glory of God in his mercy to lost sinners.
