Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Paul is asserting here that the gospel that he is preaching did not originate with him. No mere mind of man could have ever invented or discovered the marvelous truth contained in the gospel. There is therefore no such concept as Pauline Theology or Pauline Gospel. It all came from God.
1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.
The unsaved person is not going to understand the gospel. Unless God has chosen him for salvation then he can read the Bible and he will not understand it fully. His eyes are not spiritually open and he does not have “ears to hear.” Because as the apostle tells us here the things of God are spiritually discerned. It is supernatural in its power and revelation.
Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Again he stresses the divine origin of the gospel. He is so determined that they understand that it is this divine message and salvation that they have been polluting. How could the Galatians question his authority and message? How could they change or pervert this divinely truth?
