Perhaps there was a surge of emotions, maybe so many thoughts occurring at once you couldn't keep up with them, maybe you felt lighter because the burden was lifted, or perhaps an excitement at what the future held for you unlike any other you had ever known. Let's kinda run with that last one; the joy of serving the Lord and what it would mean for you as a new follower of Christ. Here in our text the Israelites had left Egypt and had now gotten the instructions from God on what to do and though they may not have been able to picture what it would all look like they had a heart to go forward with it to see what it would become. In order to do it God gave them things to aid their progress and they wrote it down so that they could remember what they had.
