We come to the end of the narrative with Hosea and Gomer. Hosea is told to love the harlot who had become utterly impoverished and in bondage to her lover. The Lord says that such love is representative of the love of Christ for His Church in that "God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us". But after we receive His grace, He says, "Go and sin no more/You shall not play the harlot". Preached Sabbath afternoon 08/23/20.
