Satan has a missionary passion that mimics the passion of God. His purpose is to damn as many as possible or rob those in the Church of the benefits of their salvation. He sends out his own missionaries. The usual difference between the missionary of the true gospel and the missionary of all the false gospels is that the missionary of the true gospel is driven by a passion to save another man’s soul and the missionary of a false gospel is motivated by the passion to save his own soul. When the Christian faith becomes an ethical or psychological religion of do’s and don’ts and therapies and methodologies; when people are socialized Christians and cultural Christians who practice niceties and refinements and disciplines which they may carry on with or without a complete dependence upon the Coming Life of Jesus filling and flooding them; then the church is on its way to heresy and in fact, though not heretical in its teachings has become heretical in its practice. In the same way when we can revel in doctrinal accuracy as if our thoughts are so high that this alone will cause us to ascend above other low thinkers and this will get us a place in heaven we must see that we are being quite Gnostic. No, salvation is a person who died in my place and lives in this place (my heart and life) he is enthroned there to regulate my life, thoughts, attitudes so that in all -- I am humble and meek and holy and filled with his grace.
