Acts 10:34-48 – Pentecost for the Gentiles (4) – Sermon Outline Intro: Peter and his Jewish brethren witness God's covenant mercy to faithful Gentiles, as the families of Cornelius and his close friends gather in his house to hear Peter preach Christ to them, then receive the H.S. Need: Peter learns the Lord has made the nations clean through Christ's sovereign reign from heaven, so that Spiritual union/fellowship is had between believing households of any/all nations. Theme: Peter preaches Christ to believing Gentiles, who receive the Holy Spirit just as the Jews.
1. Cornelius, his household, family and friends gather together before God to hear God's Word. (24-33) 2. Peter declares that God shows no partiality toward any Christian of any particular nation. (34-43) 3. The Holy Spirit falls upon the Gentiles just as He came upon the Jews at Pentecost, so Cornelius and his house are baptized. (44-48)
