After God encourages Paul not to be afraid, He proves His word is true. The pattern has been that when the Jews drag Paul before the rulers that they beat him just to please the Jews. This time God shows that He is indeed sovereign and Paul has no reason to fear. Even before Paul can speak, the proconsul lets him go saying that it doesn't involve him. The leader of the Jews is the one who ends up being beaten as the proconsul ignores that as well. After Paul continues to teach some time in Corinth, he heads back to Jerusalem as he has taken a Nazirite vow and shaved his head. This time, God does not prevent His word to be preached in Asia as Paul stops by Ephesus on the way to Jerusalem. He ends by heading back to Antioch and then visiting the regions where he planted churches with Barnabas. After the journey started with Paul and Silas being beaten in Philippi, God chose to protect him the rest of the way. Paul's preaching hasn't changed, but what God has chosen to do has. We should always recognize that when God takes us through something, it is always for a purpose and it doesn't mean that they same results will happen every time.
