Honor your neighbor. Romans 12:9-21 Paul was giving us a random list of commands, but each one tells us how to love our neighbors as ourselves . And each one is important . This list begins with our hearts . LOVE is seen in how we honor others.in Romans 12 when he followed up instruction about spiritual gifts by outlining how they were to love one another . It's as though Paul wanted us to remember the big picture purpose of our spiritual gifts: using them to fulfill the greatest commandments. Honor others by seeking their BEST. Christ-centered humility means enduring what is unfair and responding with words of blessing to those who mistreat us .Honor others over honoring YOURSELF. Paul extended his command even further . We're to love those whom the world might call insignificant or unworthy . We are to drop our pretenses and show honor to those who have nothing to give us in return .Honor others through PEACEFUL relationships.Everything Paul commanded us to do for others, Jesus has already done for us . The One who has every right to exact vengeance upon you and me responded by taking our sin on Himself and giving His life to take away our sins . All because of love . We are to do the same .
