Draw Near With Confidence
In view of having a sympathetic high priest, Jesus, the Son of God, "Let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace,..." (Hebrews 4:16). This concluding exhortation is considered and the two-fold purpose of drawing near (to receive pardoning mercy and enabling grace) is introduced. If we are to hold fast our confession in this fallen, dark and broken world we must constantly and prayerfully draw near to God so as to graciously obtain the vital necessities to do so.
