"Verse 4 says 'he called out, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!' This wasn't '4 steps to becoming a better you' sermon. No. This was a message of certain judgment, but we rarely hear preaching on divine judgment anymore do we? And if a preacher stands in front of you week after week and never warns you about the wrath that awaits all who reject the person and work of Jesus Christ or who twist the word of God to suit their sinful lifestyles, that preacher is a false prophet. Jeremiah 5:30–31 says An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule at their direction; my people love to have it so, but what will you do when the end comes? Friends does that not describe America today? Where are the preachers who will unapologetically preach against the sin in the culture and compromise in the church? Where are the Jonah's who dare bring a message of judgment to a hostile people?"
