THE IMPORTANCE OF GOD'S PRESENCE Exodus 33:1-23 Will We Be Desperate for God's Presence, or Will We Depend on Ourselves? We can learn from Moses' and Israel's desperation for God's presence. We have a need we cannot overlook (33:1-6). We have a privilege we must not neglect (33:7-11). We have an assignment we cannot complete (33:12-16). How can we meet with God? We do not have to go somewhere. We do not have to pitch a tent. As believers in Jesus Christ, we have immediate access to God thorough the Spirit (Eph 2:18). You are the tent! You take the tent everywhere you go because God's presence is in you as a believer. We can commune with God. He speaks to us directly in His written Word, and we speak to Him through worship and prayer. Paul prayed for the Ephesian Christians that they would "be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit" Eph 3:16. Communion with God—what a privilege!Lord, help me to know you, to know your ways, and to know your favor.Help me to walk in your presence and in your peace.Reveal to me your glory, your power, and your majesty, so that my life is filled with your radiance.
